Work History
Communications Consultant (2000-present)
I produce websites and print collateral, create content, and provide strategic planning services to clients in a broad range of industries. My clients have included: ABB, Ask Jeeves, Charles Schwab, FoundValue, PennFuture, ProfitLine, Snapfish, Sports Medicine Associates, Westinghouse SURE, Yahoo! Local and Yahoo! Real Estate.

Director of Research & Marketing, AuctionDrop (San Carlos, CA, 2003-2004)
I managed a group that developed policies and best practices for this venture-backed eBay drop-off service. I personally led efforts to develop training materials, educate customers, create an online research library and build a company-wide knowledge base. I also worked closely with eBay, outside counsel and third parties to handle legal issues including counterfeiting and authentication, copyright/trademark infringement, and fraud. My marketing/design responsibilities included publishing AuctionDrop's monthly customer newsletter, maintaining the corporate website and intranet, project managing website redesigns, and producing print collateral (brochures, pricing sheets and educational materials). I worked closely with PR to develop and evolve company messaging, and ensure consistency across all communications with customers, analysts and the media.

Creative Director, vivid studios (San Francisco, CA, 1997-2000)
I delivered client presentations and provided creative direction on interactive projects for many high-profile clients of this pioneering design agency, including AltaVista, CNN, Gap, J. Walter Thompson, Kellogg's, PBS, Sony, and The Names Project/AIDS Memorial Quilt. I hired and mentored designers, developed internal training programs, and led efforts to define and evolve vivid's brand and design methodologies. I was also deeply involved in the firm's strategic marketing/PR efforts and served as the company spokesperson for many years.

Information Designer/Writer, vivid studios (San Francisco, CA, 1993-1997)
As one of vivid's earliest employees, I was very involved in the planning and design stages of many CD-ROM and web projects. My responsibilities included audience research, setting project requirements, conceptual modeling, site organization and design, prototyping, and usability testing. I also provided copywriting, editing, documentation and client training on many projects.

Webmistress, vivid studios (San Francisco, CA, 1994-2000)
In addition to my other duties at vivid I also developed the company's first corporate website in 1994. I updated the site regularly and shepherded it through two major redesigns. I continued to maintain the site until 2000, when vivid was acquired by another firm and both the vivid brand and website disappeared.
